I’m Xaba from the abaNgoni tribe in Ekwendeni, Malawi where my father was born from ancestors Muliwaka, Chingolo, Fundamasu, Madlozi and Ngungunyane. I was born in Katlehong, Gauteng and currently based in Springs.
The abaNgoni, as history tells were coming from kwaZulu, led by Zwangendaba kaGumbi. They went on a mission accorded to them by Inkosi iLembe to trace uMzilikazi and kings people to bring them back. They went towards what is now called Mozambique. Some satyed there some proceeded, likewise when reaching Malawi, Zambia Tanzania and Kenya. They still in existence and recognized as chiefs in those countrires.
