SASSA Appeal for R350

A SASSA appeal for R350 is a process where a person can request a review of a decision made by SASSA regarding their social grant application. This could include an appeal for the rejection of a grant application, the amount of the grant awarded, or a cancellation of a grant.

The appeals process provides an opportunity for applicants who have been unsuccessful in their initial application or who have had their grant cancelled to present new evidence or clarify any misunderstandings that may have led to the rejection of their application.

To initiate a SASSA appeal for R350, a person must fill out a form requesting the review, which is available at any SASSA office or online. The form must be submitted along with any supporting documentation and evidence that can support the appeal. SASSA will review the appeal and notify the applicant of the outcome.

How to Make a SASSA Appeal for R350

  1. Sorting documents: Gather any supporting documents that may help your appeal, such as medical certificates or income statements, and attach them to the appeal form.
  2. Submit the appeal: Submit the completed form and supporting documents to the SASSA office where you initially applied for the grant. If you are submitting your appeal by post, make sure to send it by registered mail and keep a copy of your appeal and supporting documents.
  3. Wait for a response: SASSA will review your appeal and notify you of the outcome. This may take several weeks, so be patient.

It’s important to note that there is a time limit for making a SASSA appeal. So it’s best to submit your appeal as soon as possible after receiving a decision that you wish to appeal.

What if my SASSA R350 Appeal is Declined?

If your SASSA appeal for R350 is declined, you have the option to further appeal the decision through the SASSA internal appeal process or through a court of law.

Internal Appeal

If you are dissatisfied with the outcome of your appeal, you can request an internal appeal by submitting a written request to the SASSA Regional Executive Manager within 90 days of receiving the appeal outcome.

In your request, you must state the reasons why you are dissatisfied with the outcome of the initial appeal and provide any new evidence that you want to be considered. SASSA will review your request and provide you with a final decision within 30 days.

Court Appeal

If you are not satisfied with the internal appeal decision, you may consider taking your case to a court of law. You may need to seek legal advice on the appropriate court to approach and the procedures to follow.

It’s essential to note that you must have valid grounds for appealing the SASSA decision, and any new evidence you present must be relevant to your case. It’s also crucial to ensure that you follow the appropriate procedures and timeframes when making an appeal to have the best chance of success.

I appreciate the R350 Grant yet it is barely enough for essentials like food, health and beauty… Sassa collaborates with other FSP’s for clarity before processing payments. Yet it appears that SASSA has to be my only source of income, and that without considering the pattern of transactions with income affiliates. I thought the programme was meant to Improve my social inclusion and implement enonomic growth…

Sassa is the most corrupt government system in SA!! Shame on you for robbing the poor and disadvantage souls of our land, Nelson Mandela would be disgusted in the state of this Government and how it’s financially basically raping it’s most vulnerable people for so many years already…God have mercy on us all
